Brief introduction of China Academy of Fine Arts

China Academy of Fine Arts (hereinafter referred to as Gome) is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is a national "double-first-class" construction university and the first batch of key construction universities in Zhejiang Province, and was selected as a national postgraduate project to build a high-level university.

China Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1928, which is called the National Academy of Fine Arts. 1929, renamed as National Hangzhou Art Institute; 1938, changed to National Art Institute. 1950, becoming East China Branch of Central Academy of Fine Arts; 1958, renamed Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts; 1993, renamed China Academy of Fine Arts.

Before 2000, it was managed by the Ministry of Culture. In 2000, it became a university jointly established by the province and the Ministry. In 20 16, it was approved to build colleges and universities for Zhejiang provincial people's government, Ministry of education and Ministry of culture. In April 2023, the official website of the school showed that the school campus covers an area of 1.230 mu, with four campuses: Nanshan, Xiangshan, Zhangjiang and Liangzhu. There are 20 teaching units and 28 undergraduate enrollment majors.
