Anhui Engineering University is a provincial multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. It is a university for the construction of basic capacity building projects in universities in the central and western regions of the country, a pilot university for national intellectual property reform, the first batch of pilot universities for comprehensive reform of universities in Anhui Province, and a pilot unit for systematically promoting comprehensive innovation reform in Anhui Province.
The school is located in Wuhu, a national open city. It started at 1935 Anhui Private Inner Division Higher Vocational School, and went through Wuhu Motor Manufacturing School (formerly under the Ministry of Machinery Industry), Wuhu Machinery School, Anhui Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College, Anhui Institute of Engineering and Technology and other stages. In 2003, he was awarded a master's degree, and was renamed Anhui Engineering University on 20 10.
There are 16 secondary colleges and continuing education colleges, such as mechanical engineering college. Relying on robot engineering, data science and big data technology, artificial intelligence, intelligence science and technology and other emerging engineering majors, it is the first to set up an artificial intelligence college in Anhui universities.
The total construction area of the school building is 720,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 443 million yuan. At present, there are more than 20,000 full-time undergraduates, 2 100 postgraduates (including international students in China) and more than 600 faculty members 1600, including more than 550 with senior titles.
