The predecessor of Xidi Middle School in Baohe District was No.64 Middle School. Xidi Middle School was founded in September 20 17, and belongs to one of the subordinate schools of Hefei No.48 Middle School Education Group. Enrollment began in the autumn of that year, covering the original 64 middle school districts. At the same time, the seventh grade of No.64 Middle School stopped enrolling students, and the eighth and ninth grades moved to the new campus of Xidi Middle School. Therefore, Xidi Middle School was formerly known as Hefei No.64 Middle School.

Hefei No.64 Middle School was transferred from Dongfeng Factory School to Baohe District School in April 2003. According to the spirit of Hefei Education Bureau 186, it is planned to develop into a nine-year compulsory school with 36 classes and renamed as "Hefei No.64 Middle School".
