The 6th International Symposium on Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants recently closed in Beijing.
The authoritative classification of international cultivated plants gathered in Beijing for the first time.

China Science reported that the 6th International Symposium on Taxonomy of Cultivated Plants with the theme of "Better Classification Makes Life Better" recently closed in Beijing. This is the first time that this academic conference has been held in China. Experts and scholars from 10 countries exchanged views on the trial and trial of cultivated plants, classification and naming, registration and database, and discussed and revised the international nomenclature of cultivated plants.

According to reports, each new variety of cultivated plants must be approved by the "international registration agency" recognized by the International Committee for Nomenclature and Registration of Cultivated Plants of the International Horticultural Society before it can be internationally recognized. At present, there are 85 "international registration agencies" in 16 countries and regions around the world engaged in this work.

The conference was hosted by the International Horticultural Society, co-hosted by Beijing Forestry University and National Flower Engineering Technology Research Center, and funded by Wang Kuancheng Education Foundation.
