Henan Institute of Science and Technology is a provincial undergraduate college. The school was founded in 1939, formerly known as the Biology Department of Yan 'an Academy of Natural Sciences founded by China. After the Northern University Agricultural College, North China University Agricultural College, North China University Agricultural College Changzhi Branch, Beijing Agricultural University Changzhi Branch, Pingyuan Agricultural College, Baiquan Agricultural College, Henan Vocational and Technical Teachers College and other periods. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Henan Institute of Science and Technology.
As of April 20 18, the school covers an area of 2,478 mu, with a school building area of 620,000 square meters. There are 2.69 million volumes of various literature resources in the library, and there are more than 500 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals/kloc-0. The school has 19 teaching colleges and 65 undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines including agronomy, engineering, education, management, literature, science, economics, law and art.
