The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Tianjin Medical College. 1994 was rated as the national key health secondary school, and in 20001was approved by the education department of Hebei province to become Cangzhou Branch of Hebei Medical University, and in 2004, it was upgraded to Cangzhou Medical College with the approval of the education department.
In 2008, the school passed the talent training evaluation of higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education with excellent results. 20 12 successfully passed the evaluation of talent training in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education.
