What are the requirements of higher education law for college teachers to obtain teacher qualifications and perform their duties?
Article 46 of the Higher Education Law stipulates that institutions of higher learning shall implement a teacher qualification system. Abide by the Constitution and laws, love education, have a good ideological and moral character, have a postgraduate or undergraduate degree, have the corresponding education and teaching ability, and can obtain the qualification of teachers in colleges and universities after being recognized as qualified. Citizens who do not have a postgraduate degree or a bachelor's degree are good at learning, and after passing the national teacher qualification examination and being recognized as qualified, they can also obtain the qualification of teachers in colleges and universities.

Article 47 stipulates that institutions of higher learning shall implement the system of teachers' posts. Teachers' positions in colleges and universities are set according to the needs of teaching, scientific research and other tasks undertaken by the school. Teachers include teaching assistants, lecturers, associate professors and professors. Teachers in institutions of higher learning shall meet the following basic conditions to obtain the positions specified in the preceding paragraph:

(a) to obtain the qualifications of teachers in institutions of higher learning;

(two) systematically master the basic theory of this discipline;

(3) Having the ability of education, teaching and scientific research in corresponding posts;

(four) to undertake the courses and teaching tasks of the corresponding positions.

Professors and associate professors should not only have the above basic qualifications, but also have systematic and solid basic theories and rich teaching and scientific research experience, with remarkable teaching achievements, papers or works reaching a higher level or outstanding teaching and scientific research achievements.

The specific qualifications of teachers in institutions of higher learning shall be stipulated by the State Council. Article 48 Institutions of higher learning implement the appointment system for teachers. Teachers who have passed the assessment shall be appointed by institutions of higher learning according to their responsibilities, conditions and term of office.

The appointment of teachers in institutions of higher learning should follow the principle of equality and voluntariness of both parties, and the president of an institution of higher learning should sign an employment contract with the employed teachers.
