First, the importance of singing to children's music education

As the main means of music education, singing plays an important role in music class. Kodaly believes that only by actively participating in artistic practice can children gain musical experience and real musical culture. Singing is an instrument that everyone has. Singing is a musical activity that everyone can participate in, and it is a practical and effective way to popularize education.

In primary school music learning, compared with music appreciation, music activities, music knowledge, music composition and other music teaching content, song learning occupies a large proportion in primary school music teaching content, especially in the lower grades (first and second grades). Singing itself has a very rich learning content. Through this most natural learning form, children can master the abilities of intonation, rhythm, speed, artistic expression, emotional processing, music analysis, multi-voice singing and so on. Singing can express children's most direct and authentic feelings, promote children's interest in music, help to control singing organs, improve children's listening comprehension of music, enhance children's ability to understand and express music, and promote the cultivation of lifelong hobbies.

Second, the characteristics of children's singing

The development of children's singing organs is still immature. Children aged four to six have half (or less than half) the larynx and vocal cords of adults. Their breasts are small, their breathing is shallow, and they make sounds with their hair. Their voices are bright and their timbre is sweet and pure. After the age of seven, that is, the primary school stage, children's bodies gradually develop, and the singing organs enter the peak of puberty in the upper grades of primary school (grades 5 and 6). During this period, the singing organs developed slowly. With the growth of children's age and the influence of external factors (the change of song singing difficulty and the influence of adult singing, etc.). ), the vocal position naturally transitions from head vocalization to chest vocalization. When singing, the vocal cords can emit a lot of volume, with a large range of movements, and the vocal cords become thicker and shorter, but the timbre is impure and hoarse.

Glossy, even after a long period of practice, the vocal cords themselves are not greatly affected, and the sound is completely emitted from the front of the mouth, which reduces the fatigue and congestion of the vocal cords when the chest sounds, and then leads to abnormal hypertrophy of the vocal cords.

Third, how do children practice their voice?

Breathing exercises

Breath is the driving force of singing, and whether it can be controlled well is an important prerequisite for vocalization. In class, I emphasize that when students inhale naturally, they should relax and stand, their feet should be shoulder width apart, their body center of gravity should be placed between their feet, their arms should be relaxed and naturally droop, their heads should be straight, their heads should not be lowered or raised, and their eyes should be straight. When inhaling, their ribs will expand to both sides and the diaphragm will sag downward. You must never lift your shoulders or collarbone. When exhaling, you must not bend over or shake your head or press your throat.

Keep the room well ventilated when doing breathing exercises. Practice should be repeated, from slow breathing to fast breathing, fast breathing to fast breathing, and each time should not be too long. According to children's physiological characteristics, there should be intervals between exercises, and students should be given enough rest time.

(B) weak voice practice and its importance:

This is an important teaching principle, and it is also the first task for teachers to solve when children sing. In order to help children find the position and state of head vocalization as soon as possible, we should pay special attention to the sound quality in training, do not pursue the volume of singing, and practice with weak voice vocalization. Only when students fully master the essentials of head vocalization under the practice of "singing softly" can they gradually penetrate the requirements for volume.

Children often make a hullabaloo about when singing in high-pitched areas. This will lead to an increase in the load of singing organs, blue veins in the neck, blushing and hoarseness, which will not only lead to a beautiful head sound, but also easily damage the child's tender vocal cords. Therefore, don't blindly pursue the volume at the beginning of training.

When you learn to use the "voice coming from the top of your head", you can use Wu Yin and O Yin instead of Lu Yin. Because Wu and O sounds are more mellow than Lu sounds. But this is not to cancel Lu's practice. When practicing various pronunciations, we should give priority to Lu yin. On the basis of Lu's voice practice, we can practice other vocal music.

Children's vocal skills

Singing is an art. In order to improve children's ability to express songs, children should be trained in singing skills, including singing posture, breathing, vocalization and articulation.

Correct singing posture is not only the expression of the singer's good mentality, but also related to the use of breath, the adjustment of resonance and the effect of singing. In the training, let the children develop good singing habits, so that their eyes are straight, their jaws are adducted, their necks are not tense, their spines are straight, their bellies are miniature and their waists are stable.

When doing breathing exercises, do the correct singing posture first. When inhaling, the mouth is slightly open, and the soft and hard palate are lifted, which is coordinated with the eyebrow lifting action. The waist is mainly at the back, and the waistline is relaxed outward, so that the gas can naturally and smoothly "flow in" and the back feels "qi", and the chest will naturally feel wide. But when exhaling, it should not be too deep, otherwise the chest and abdomen will be stiff, which will affect the flexibility of pronunciation and the accuracy of pitch. There should be no sound when inhaling, which will not only affect the artistic effect of singing, but also make the inhalation not deep and affect the support of breath. Therefore, in daily life, we should develop the habit of rib expansion and abdomen miniaturization.

Vocal music practice is a comprehensive basic training of singing, and learning to sing must start with the most basic vocal music practice. Practice breath fulcrum, experience the coordination of sound absorption and vocalization, and experience and adjust your singing resonance with scientific humming methods. Learn to sing with your mouth open and loosen your upper and lower teeth. The smooth cooperation of breath makes a mellow and smooth sound.

Articulation practice: Singing is the same as speaking, and articulation is required to be clear. When singing, you must pronounce words by singing. Singing language is based on life language, and after artistic processing, it forms the law of singing language. Before singing a song, the lyrics should be pronounced, so that the words and melody in the rhythm can be sung clearly. For every word in the song, it takes the efforts of mouth, mouth and consciousness to bite it out accurately. In the process of pronouncing words, spitting words, dragging the cavity, and combining sounds, we must not be sloppy. We must pronounce with "heart" and sing on this basis, so as to achieve the purpose of "clear pronunciation and mellow voice". When expressing lyric songs, the general tunes are slow and orderly, and the pronunciation should be very clear, which requires skilled articulation techniques.

Singing is the art of combining sound with literature. If you want to sing a good song, you can't just pay attention to the voice without paying attention to the feelings, and vice versa. It is necessary to comprehensively understand and analyze the ideological content, expression technique, songwriter and background of the times of the song, and then make appropriate treatment to accurately and completely reproduce the artistic image of the song, so as to achieve the purpose of bringing emotion to the audience.
