Every year, a large number of students choose to challenge again after the college entrance examination and strive for a better future. This paper will discuss the reasons and influence of the repetition of college entrance examination from three aspects: the cooling of the repetition tide, the inequality of educational resources and the game between fairness and resources.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Education, the number of students who choose to repeat their studies has gradually decreased in recent years. In 20 17 years, there were 1699000 students in China who chose to repeat their studies, accounting for 17.4%. By 2020, although the total number of college entrance examination students has declined, the number of repeat students has dropped sharply from1699 million to1336 million, accounting for less than 1.04%.
