A brief introduction to the author of holistic education theory
Kokufang Obara (1887— 1977) is a Japanese educator, an expert in holistic education, the founder of Yuchuan Academy, the King of Denmark and the winner of Mexican Presidential Medal. 1887 was born in kagoshima prefecture on April 8th. When I was a child, my family was poor and had no money to go to ordinary middle schools, so I had to be admitted to the official telecommunications school. After graduation, I worked as a mechanic in the submarine telecommunications bureau of Dayu Peninsula. He is very studious, and by his own struggle, he has successively passed the education majors of Kagoshima Normal School, Hiroshima Normal School and the Philosophy Department of the School of Literature of Kyoto University. 19 18 After graduating in July, I worked in the primary school attached to Hiroshima Normal University and was full of enthusiasm for studying primary education and art education. 1912 was appointed president of Chengcheng College at the invitation of Liu Ze Masataro, a famous educator and president of Chengcheng College. He began to explore and practice his idea of "holistic education". 192 1 On August 8th, 2008, the idea of "whole person education" was put forward for the first time at the "Eight Education Advocacy Lectures" hosted by the Great Japan Academic Society, and a new theoretical school of the new education movement in Japan was founded. In order to explore and practice his ideal of holistic education, 1929 founded the Yuchuan Academy in the suburbs of Tokyo. Gradually put forward a complete set of guiding principles for running a school-twelve educational creeds, namely: ① holistic education; (2) Education that respects individuality; ③ Self-study and self-discipline (paying attention to students' self-study and self-discipline ability); ④ Efficient education (creating a good learning environment, selecting teaching materials, improving teaching methods and enhancing learning interest); ⑤ Learning-based education (changing the guiding ideology of teaching-based); 6. Respect for nature; ⑦ the warmth between teachers and students (respecting teachers and loving students); (8) Labor education (to cultivate the strong will and practical ability of integrating knowledge with practice); Pet-name ruby unity of opposites (make two opposing qualities into one); Attending to meet the wishes of others and be the pioneer of life; ⑾ Learning books education (inheriting the tradition of learning books in ancient Japan, teachers and students eat, live together, work together, study together and pray together); ⑿ International education. Under the guidance of the twelve educational creeds, after years of dismal operation, Yuchuan College finally built a comprehensive educational institution from kindergarten, primary school, middle school to university in 1947. He has visited many countries and absorbed advanced educational ideas from all over the world. It also introduced Japan's new education movement to all countries in the world. For half a century, many foreign scholars have been visiting the achievements of "holistic education" in Yuchuan Academy. Because Ogara has devoted himself to the cause of international education friendship all his life, from 1975 to 1976, he was awarded the medals of King of Denmark and President of Mexico. He wrote many works in his life, all of which are included in the Complete Works of Obuchi Guofang. His main works are: Theory of Whole Person Education, Theory of Education Reform, Theory of General Education, Ideological Problems and Education, Theory of Moral Education Innovation, Theory of Building a Country through Education, Ideal School, Theory of School Drama, Religion as the Fundamental Problem of Education, etc. As a pioneer of the new education movement, Junichiro Koizumi dared to challenge the traditional education and founded his own theory and practice of holistic education, which enjoys a high reputation in the world.
