Regulations of Shenyang University on Students Changing Majors

Article 1 In order to encourage students in our school to study hard, fully mobilize their enthusiasm for learning, encourage students to develop their individuality and specialties, meet the needs of society for personnel training, and standardize the management of students changing majors, according to the Regulations of the Ministry of Education on the Management of Students in Colleges and Universities (Order No.21of the Ministry of Education) and the Notice of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education on Regulating the Work of Students Changing Majors in Colleges and Universities in Liaoning Province (Liao Jiaofa [201)

Article 2 Principles to be followed when changing majors:

Maintain the principles of fairness, justice, openness and collective decision-making in education;

(two) the principle of reflecting the social demand for talents and promoting employment;

(3) The principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude is conducive to students' autonomous learning and personality development;

Article 3 Students who meet one of the following conditions may apply for changing majors:

(a) due to physical conditions and other special reasons, it is proved that it is really impossible to continue the original professional learners (relevant medical diagnosis or proof from hospitals above Grade II A (including Grade II A) is required);

(2) Excellent academic performance (the average GPA of the courses taken is ≥3.0, ranking within 10% (including 10%) of the same major in the same grade);

(3) Those who have special talents in a certain aspect (subject to the examination and approval of experts organized by the school) change their majors, which is conducive to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude and promoting personality development;

(four) other majors that must be transferred after research.

Article 4 An applicant for a major change shall meet the following basic conditions:

(1) Undergraduate and junior college students in general higher education in our school, excluding undergraduate and secondary vocational students.

(2) Having studied at school for more than one semester;

(3) Physical conditions meet the requirements of changing majors.

Article 5 In principle, the transfer quota of each major shall not exceed 5% of the students in the same grade of this major at one time, and the cumulative quota shall not exceed 10%.

Article 6 Under any of the following circumstances, you may not change your major:

(a) Between the arts, sports and general categories;

(two) the Ministry, the provincial admissions department and the school clearly stipulate that it is impossible to transfer when enrolling students.

(3) Low-batch admission is transferred to high-batch admission;

(four) credits have been completed more than two-thirds of the total credits stipulated in the training plan;

Article 7 Students applying for changing majors should, in principle, reach the minimum admission score of the same grade. If you apply to change your major for physical reasons, in principle, the school will designate you to change your major. Teachers and other majors with insufficient teaching conditions will not accept transfer students for the time being.

Eighth students are only allowed to change majors once during their school years, and only one major is allowed to declare each time.

Article 9 Students who apply for changing their major should submit a written application for changing their major within the time specified in the student registration before the start of each semester. The school will complete the approval and publicity procedures within three weeks after the start of school, and it will not be accepted at other times.

Article 10 Apply for changing majors.

(3) The college to which the student belongs checks the basic situation of the applicant and puts forward handling opinions. After being summarized by the college, the professional GPA ranking table, application form and relevant supporting materials are reported to the Academic Affairs Office;

(4) In the first week after the start of school, the Academic Affairs Office will complete the review of basic conditions with the transfer college and put forward preliminary opinions. In the second week, the Academic Affairs Office will organize a review of the applicants and related information. In the third week, the academic affairs office will complete the audit and report it to the school. After being studied and approved by the principal's office meeting, it will be publicized online according to the procedures required by the education department. After the publicity, it will be formally submitted to the Provincial Department of Education, and the students will be notified through the college to which they belong after being approved by the Department of Education. Students who have been approved by the school to transfer to a major will complete the transfer procedures within one week after receiving the notice.

Eleventh transfer students should complete all kinds of compulsory credits before graduation in accordance with the requirements of the training program for transfer professionals. According to the requirements of the transfer professional training plan, take courses that have not been taken (including compulsory courses and limited courses); The same or similar courses that have been completed and passed the examination can apply to the college for credit transfer, and the college will send them to the academic affairs office for the record after passing the examination.

Article 12 The majors (including majors) that carry out the teaching reform pilot in order to promote schools to cultivate talents adapted to social development, which have a clear employment orientation in consideration of the social demand for talents, shall be implemented according to the approved plan after school research, with 1 standard class as the unit, and shall be handled with reference to these regulations.

Thirteenth students who have been approved to change majors will pay tuition fees according to the standard of changing majors from the school year.

Article 14 If these Provisions conflict with the relevant policies of the education administrative department of Liaoning Province, they shall be adjusted accordingly.
