Guangxi Institute of Education is an adult undergraduate college directly under the autonomous region sponsored by the people's government of the autonomous region. Guangxi Institute of Education was founded in 1953. 1958 was renamed Guangxi Normal University, and 1966 was renamed Guangxi Education College. 1983 schools began to offer adult undergraduate and junior college education, 1992 started to offer full-time general junior college education.

The college adopts various ways to run schools jointly with universities at home and abroad. We have established academic exchanges and inter-school cooperation with American English Society, university of bradford and other scientific research institutions and universities, and carried out education for international students. There are frequent academic exchanges between schools, and many doctoral supervisors from Tianjin University, Beijing Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, Minzu University of China, Huazhong Normal University and East China Normal University are employed as honorary professors or visiting professors of our school.
