Suzhou University, located in Suzhou City, Anhui Province, is a comprehensive undergraduate college in Anhui Province, a demonstration application-oriented undergraduate college in Anhui Province, and a "local application-oriented high-level university construction project" in the revitalization plan of higher education in Anhui Province. The school was founded in 1949, upgraded and renamed Suzhou Normal University in 1983, upgraded and renamed Suzhou College in 2004, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 20 14, and was approved as the project construction unit of Anhui local applied high-level university in 20 15.
As of February, 2023, the school has two campuses, Education Park Campus and Bianhe Road Campus, covering an area of 1 146 mu and a construction area of nearly 600,000 square meters. The school has 15 secondary colleges, offering 63 undergraduate majors, covering eight disciplines including engineering, management, science, literature, economics, art, education and medicine.
Among them, 15 secondary colleges are: Marxism College, Literature and Media College, Foreign Languages College, Business School, Management College, Music College, Fine Arts and Design College, Mathematics and Statistics College, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering College, Biology and Food Engineering College, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering College, Resources and Civil Engineering College, Environment and Survey Engineering College, Information Engineering College and Physical Education College. Suzhou University has no department at present.
