Historical Humanities in Shijing Town
Shijing has profound historical and cultural accumulation and simple seaside folk customs. Zhu, a Neo-Confucianism scholar in the Song Dynasty, gave lectures at the Yangzi Mountain Academy in The Book of Songs for many times. Zheng Chenggong, a national hero of the Ming Dynasty, sincerely influenced the world by restoring the national attribute of Taiwan Province Province. Throughout the ages, economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries have been frequent. These special historical conditions gave birth to the folk customs and traditions here: understanding etiquette, loving the country and hometown, being hardworking and simple, and being hospitable. Buddhism and Taoism are the most religious beliefs. Ishii is the birthplace of Gaojia Opera. In ancient times, teacher Hongpu and villagers in Cendou Village created Gaojia Opera. Therefore, Master Hongpu was called "the father of drama" by later generations.

Shijing is an ancient coastal town with outstanding people. The eight wonders of "Four Seas and Four Places" in China and the twelve scenes of "Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter" abroad outline three scenic spots of Aoshan Zheng Chenggong Cultural Park, which are rich in cultural relics, with the national hero Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall, one of the first batch of patriotic education demonstration bases in China as the core, supplemented by scenic spots such as Yanping County King Temple, Zhongxian Land and Kaitai Wang Sheng Memorial Hall. The rich historical and cultural accumulation of Shijing echoes the "Sea Master" stone carving, Jinghaimen, Yancheng, Qingshui Rock, Dabai Island and other cultural relics in Bangbofang.
