1991September, during the Seventh National Teachers' Day, the Jiangsu Mathematics Education Award was jointly sponsored by Fudan University, education bureau of shanghai and Shanghai Preschool Teacher Award Foundation under the joint initiative of Professor Wuyi, Academician Gu Chaohao and Academician Hu. At present, the "Soviet Mathematics Education Award" is the first domestic award for middle school mathematics educators supported by the Ministry of Education, and it is also the highest award for middle school mathematics education in China.

The winner of the "Su Mathematics Education Award" must meet the following three conditions:

(a) engaged in middle school mathematics education or teaching research 15 years or more, and still directly engaged in middle school mathematics education or teaching research;

(two) love the socialist motherland, be loyal to the cause of basic education, teach and educate people, be a teacher, and have good professional ethics;

(3) Outstanding achievements have been made in the research, reform, development and personnel training of middle school mathematics education, which has had a certain impact.
