Education marketization is a hot issue in real life. The socialist market economy is being gradually established and developed in China, and the rules of the market economy are affecting all fields of social life. With the improvement of people's living standards, people's demand for education has also increased rapidly, and the education system established under the planned economy system cannot meet people's growing educational needs. The old education system and teaching mode have been widely questioned. Whether the education industry should be marketized and how to marketize it have become the focus of debate in the theoretical research of education system. It is of great theoretical value and practical significance to further strengthen the research on these issues. Starting with the inevitability and necessity of education marketization, this paper mainly analyzes the basic characteristics of education marketization, the present situation of China's education system and the reform ideas of education system, and emphatically expounds the reasons, significance, contents and specific methods of education marketization. Finally, this paper concludes that education marketization is the inevitable trend of the development of socialist market economy, and the government should take effective measures to actively promote the process of education marketization.
