Jinna Campus of Tibet University is a new campus. Tibet University has four campuses, namely Jinna Campus, Hebalin Campus, Norbulingka Medical College Campus and Norbulingka College of Finance and Economics Campus, with a total area of 1.400 mu.

The school building area is 469,200 square meters, and the Education City Campus is under planning and construction. At present, there are 15 colleges (departments) such as College of Arts, College of Science, College of Engineering, Medical College, College of Art, school of economics and management, College of Tourism and Foreign Languages, College of Politics and Law, College of Education, College of Finance and Economics, College of Information Science and Technology, College of Marxism, Tibet Branch of the Open University of China, College of Continuing Education, and International Exchange and Cooperation Office (Foreign Students Department).

Brief introduction of other situations of Tibet University.

The history of running Tibet University can be traced back to the training course for Tibetan cadres set up by the troops who entered Tibet in1951,and it has gone through the development stages of Tibet Military Region Cadre School, Tibet Local Cadre School and Tibet Administrative Cadre School. 1965 and 1975, in order to meet the needs of millions of emancipated serfs to learn culture and build a new Tibet, the school went through the development stages of Tibet Normal School and Tibet Normal College, creating a precedent for normal education in Tibet. In order to meet the needs of rapid economic and social development in Tibet, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was officially renamed Tibet University 1985 in July.

Since 1999, Xizang Autonomous Region Art School, Tibet Medical College, Medical Department of Tibet University for Nationalities, Xizang Autonomous Region College of Finance and Economics and Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College have successively merged into Tibet University, and entered a new stage of establishing a comprehensive university with regional ethnic characteristics. 2065438+In June 2006, the College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Tibet University was established as Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College.
