According to the Administrative Measures for the Compilation of Academic Degrees and Talents Training Catalogue issued by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and Ministry of Education (Guo Ban Fa [2009]10), the Catalogue of Academic Degrees and Talents Training is divided into discipline categories and first-class disciplines, which is the basic basis for the national audit of management degree and degree-granting units to carry out academic degrees and talents training, and is applicable to the granting, enrollment and training of master's and doctoral degrees. 20 1 1 In March, the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and Ministry of Education promulgated the revised Catalogue of Degree Granting and Talent Training (20 1 1), which stipulated that China could be divided into philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture and science.
