He served as the captain, director of education and member of the school Committee in the sixth to twenty-second phases of Huangpu Military Academy. He used to be the main person in charge of Wuhan Branch and Changsha Branch, and was the presiding editor and publisher of History of the Central Army Military Academy (10 volumes) published ten years after Huangpu was founded. From the founding of Huangpu to the founding of New China, he was known as the representative of China Kuomintang who always adhered to the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party.
