Yulin City is located in the south of the Ming Great Wall, 5 kilometers away from Zhenbeitai, and is now the location of Yulin City in Shaanxi Province. Also known as Yuyang, it connects Yan Shuo in the east, Ningxia in the west, Hetao in the north and Guanzhong in the south. It is one of the main roads leading to the hinterland of the desert, and its military position is very important. Known as the "nine-faced lock and key" and "Three Qins in Xiongzhen", it is the resident of Yansui Town, one of the nine towns in the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty. According to records, Yulin City was built in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty, and it was finally finalized after three large-scale expansions. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, due to the backlog of quicksand in the north wall of Yulin City, the north wall retreated to the southwest and became the appearance of Yulin City today. The terrain of this city is high in the east and low in the west, and the northeast corner protrudes outward. The city wall is rammed with loess, and the outside is covered with blue bricks. Wall height12m, base width16.6m and top width10m. There are five gates. At the top of each gate, there are two magnificent gates. There are many places of interest inside and outside the city, among which Xingming Tower and Lingxiao Tower are the most famous.
