Lu Zuofu (1893~ 1952), formerly known as Kui Xian, was born in Hechuan, Chongqing. Famous patriotic industrialist, educator and social activist. By 1949, the Minsheng Company he founded owned 148 river-sea boats and invested in more than 60 enterprises and institutions, becoming one of the largest and most influential private enterprise groups in China. When he was young, he put forward education to save the country and fought for it. From self-taught to the establishment of schools, libraries and museums, and the popularization of cultural education, many achievements have been made. Based on Beibei, he successfully carried out theoretical exploration and social practice of rural construction. He was diligent and thrifty all his life, regardless of public interests, and served the society and the people. He advocates pragmatism and scientific spirit, and Lu Zuofu's collection has been handed down from generation to generation, which is one of the most precious achievements in the thought and practice of Chongqing people and even China people in the first half of last century.
