Weinan Vocational and Technical College is a higher vocational school approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the former Shaanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine School, Shaanxi Dali Normal School, Shaanxi Pucheng Normal School and Shaanxi Weinan Agricultural School. Its school-running history can be traced back to Tongzhou Industrial Middle School founded by 1905. Over the past century, a large number of professionals have been trained, which are widely distributed in education, health, agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, and have made important contributions to economic and social development. Han Qide, vice chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang Shuangxi, former vice governor of Shaanxi Province, Zhang Kejian, former director of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, and Chen Wuyu, former president of xi Jiaotong University, and other well-known alumni emerged. Liu Shoushan, a researcher of TCM literature in our university, edited the 4 million-word monograph "Literature Abstracts of TCM Research", which started the research of modern TCM. It is another comprehensive classic of Chinese medicine literature after Compendium of Materia Medica, and won the 1978 National Science Conference Award.
