On the basis of introducing some latest developments of contemporary cognitive psychology and mathematics education psychology, starting from the basic theory of cognitive psychology, taking the middle school students' mathematics learning process as the basic clue and analyzing students' mathematics learning psychology, this paper discusses the learning and teaching of mathematics concepts, mathematics principles, mathematics thinking methods and mathematics skills, and discusses the cultivation of self-monitoring ability and the transfer of mathematics learning. On this basis, the basic viewpoints of mathematics education reform are put forward.
