According to the Notice of the General Office of Ningbo Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of Ningbo Municipal People's Government on Printing and Distributing the Institutional Reform Plan of Cixi Municipal People's Government (No.[201] 27), Cixi Education Bureau was established.

Cixi Education Bureau is the working department of the municipal government in charge of education and language work in the whole city.

Main responsibilities:

(a) to implement the educational principles, policies, laws and regulations of the party and the state.

(two) to formulate the city's education development plan, guide the education reform of schools at all levels, and be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information.

(3) Take the lead in promoting educational modernization. To guide the ideological and political education, moral education, sports health and art education, labor education and national defense education of schools at all levels in the city.

(four) responsible for and guiding the education administrative law enforcement work. Organize and implement education supervision and evaluation, inspection and acceptance, quality control and other work according to law.

(five) responsible for guiding the party's political construction, ideological construction, organizational construction and other work in the city's education system, as well as the education system to fulfill the responsibility of strictly administering the party in an all-round way. Responsible for the party building and leadership team building of directly affiliated schools (units). Cooperate with the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee to do a good job in the United Front Work of the school. Guide the group work of the education system.

(six) to be responsible for and guide the safety and stability of the education system, and to be responsible for the safety supervision and management of the education system.

(seven) overall management of education funds and other financial education funds within the budget at the corresponding level. Participate in the formulation of management measures for the collection and use of education funds. To guide the financial management of the city's education departments and supervise their use. Responsible for the internal audit of the municipal education system. Responsible for and guide the management of state-owned assets in the education system.

(eight) responsible for the comprehensive management of the talent team in the education system, and responsible for organizing the implementation of the national, provincial and Ningbo education system talent plan (project). Responsible for the construction of teachers in the city and guide the construction of teachers' morality and style in the city.

Organize the implementation of the teacher qualification system. Organize the training of primary and secondary school (kindergarten) teachers (including principals and directors) in the city. Participate in the formulation of personnel system policies such as school establishment, post and salary. Organize and guide the professional and technical qualification evaluation and post appointment of school teachers.

(nine) the overall management of the city's preschool education, basic education, vocational education, special education, lifelong education and private education. Responsible for the full implementation of quality education, promote the balanced development of compulsory education, and promote educational equity.

Guide the teaching reform and curriculum reform of basic education and other education. Unified management of the city's basic education examination enrollment, management of radio and television university self-study examination and other work. Coordinate the related work of Tzu Chi colleges and universities. Responsible for and guide the scientific research work of education and teaching in the city.

(ten) to guide and manage the exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad in the city's education system. Carry out educational exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Assist in the international promotion of Chinese.
