Beijing Education Examinations Institute was established in1February, 1996, and belongs to Beijing Municipal Education Commission. Mainly responsible for the management and research of Beijing senior middle school entrance examination, general college entrance examination, national postgraduate entrance examination, adult college entrance examination, higher education self-study examination and social-oriented non-academic certificate examination, and undertaking Chinese-foreign cooperative education examination.
Beijing Education Examinations Institute implements the dean responsibility system, and now has 16 offices, including the institute (Party Committee) office, personnel office, financial infrastructure office, supervision office, trade union office, scientific research office, examination secrecy office, information management office, proposition one, proposition two, senior middle school enrollment office, higher school enrollment office, postgraduate enrollment office, adult education enrollment office and higher education office.
