Excellent teacher program is the abbreviation of directional training program for excellent teachers in underdeveloped areas in central and western China. Every year, about 1000 excellent teachers are specially arranged in the national undergraduate enrollment plan for directional training. Normal universities and local normal colleges directly under the Ministry of Education undertake the task of enrollment and training, and train a group of outstanding primary and secondary school teachers for 832 poverty-stricken counties and land border counties in the central and western regions by means of free tuition, paying accommodation and subsidizing living expenses during their studies at school.
There are Nanning Normal University, Hezhou College, Hechi University, Guangxi Normal University, Guangxi Teachers College for Nationalities, Guangxi Teachers College for Science and Technology, baise university and so on. In addition to the above counties, there are xing an, Yongfu, Yangshuo, Pingle, Babu, Zhongshan and Zhaoping counties in Lipu.
Benefits of the Mentor Program
The excellent teacher program was launched by the Ministry of Education in 20 15, aiming at cultivating excellent teachers. Its main purpose is to strengthen the construction of basic education teachers in China and improve the quality of education by selecting and cultivating outstanding talents with high educational literacy, professional quality and practical ability. Public normal students mainly examine students' achievements and comprehensive quality in high school, while the excellent teacher program needs to examine students' academic achievements, scientific research ability and practical experience in college.
Normal students at public expense will be given full scholarships through capital contribution, receive university-level cultural education and training, and directly enter primary and secondary schools to engage in education after graduation. Excellent teachers plan to adopt the integrated training mode of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, that is, they begin to receive training from the education department at the university stage, and can continue to study for master's or doctoral degrees after graduation, or choose to enter primary and secondary schools to engage in education.
