How to get children to go to school in the city?

A stable life and work.

Parents need to live in the city for one year and have a stable residence and job.

Community certificate and residence permit

Parents need to apply for a community certificate at their place of residence and obtain a residence permit issued by the police station.

School letter of introduction and admission procedures

Parents need to bring the residence certificate, residence permit and ID card issued by the community to the street office to issue a letter of introduction for their children, and then go through the admission procedures at the primary school where the residence permit is located.

Compulsory education regulations

According to Article 14 of the Education Law of the People's Republic of China, if a school-age child or teenager whose parents or other legal guardians work or live in a place other than the domicile receives compulsory education in the place where their parents or other legal guardians work or live, their parents or other legal guardians shall provide their own identity certificates, residence certificates, employment certificates and other materials to apply for admission in the school district where they live.
