Usually, the wings and tails of wild birds such as geese, eagles, storks, birds, eagles and green chickens in the reeds around Hongze Lake and Poyang Lake are washed away by streams, and their feathers are soft and shiny. Together with Suzhou Tuanfan and Hangzhou Origami Fan, they are called the three famous fans in China.

"When it comes to Huzhou, the land of silk and land of plenty, many people will think of the famous lake pen, but few people know Huzhou feather fan comparable to the lake pen." Besides enjoying the cool, how much do Huzhou people love feather fans?

We learned from the old craftsman Master Yin that there is a local custom in Huzhou. Fans represent "good luck", especially before the Dragon Boat Festival, buying fans has become a local preference. A fan represents the trust and hope of the elders for their children. When your daughter gets married, you should give feather fans to your elders, and prepare as many fans as you have. This is a proverb handed down from generation to generation. "Fan" means "having children". The more you give, the more blessings you get. With more and more people buying, feather fans have become tight, and a commercial "hidden rule" has evolved: buy 10 fans and get a shirt. It can be seen that the popularity of feather fans is extraordinary.

Just like thousands of ordinary working people in Qian Qian, Master Yin, the owner of this time, has worked hard in his post for 55 years. He/kloc-entered the profession at the age of 0/4. As an old-school badminton fan, Master Yin's experience makes us have to admire and lament the ruthlessness of time.

The first time I met Mr. Yin was in primary school, where he had a handicraft class that day. Before that, it was inconceivable that an old man in his seventies was teaching a group of third and fourth grade pupils to make fans. Class is not long, once a week. It can be seen that Teacher Yin is very professional as a teacher. In addition, Master Yin's job is to work in the Tiangong Feather Fan Research Institute. He has two apprentices and more than 10,000 fans a year. These three apprentices also like to do this.

But the glory of the old feather fan factory will never be forgotten by Master Yin's generation.

"It turned out that there were 13 private feather fan shops in North Street, 1957 were restructured, and 13 shops jointly established Huzhou feather fan factory." Master Yin pointed to the row of buildings that had already become high-rise buildings and told us. At that time, the feather fan factory had a shop in North Street, with three floors, and the door was conspicuous. Many people came from all over the world to visit.

In 57, when Huzhou Feather Fan Factory was first established, there were already 157 people. From 1970 to the beginning of 1980, the feather fan factory was very prosperous. At that time, there were more than 200 workers, with an annual output of 400 thousand pieces, and they were also exported to overseas markets. At that time, the exit was not so easy. To make a batch of fans, the master in the factory should specially select a batch for export. Master Yin also told us that the old feather fan factory was famous because during Nixon's visit to China, the factory made three fans as a national gift, and all three fans had his participation.

We followed Master Yin all the way, passing North Street, Camel Bridge, Clothing Street and Labor Road ... We felt the breath of the old feather fan factory with him, from the opening of the factory to the first move, the first van, the first movie ... too many firsts, he was there.

However, in 2003, Huzhou Feather Fan Factory suddenly declared bankruptcy.

Master Yin said he couldn't believe it. Although the sales of feather fans at that time were not as good as before, some retired employees had to be rehired during the peak season. "What a pity!" He couldn't help shaking his head, but the old feather fan factory gave up its last insistence.

We can't help but sigh that time is too ruthless, and the progress of the times has forced us to eliminate many things, which may also include our hearts. There are all kinds of generations like Master Yin in the world. Work endows them with tenacity and sureness, while time nourishes their qualities and virtues. The old feather fan factory, a factory that carries many people's dreams, is buzzing in the tide of the times. Perhaps it is these traces of existence that will make us unforgettable.

Now, Master Yin has been rehired to the Tiangong Feather Fan Research Institute and continues to take his disciples as fans. Tiangong Feather Fan Research Institute is a local protection unit specially established after the closure of the old feather fan factory. In line with the business philosophy of production, protection and inheritance, we will continue to carry forward the production skills of Huzhou feather fan.
