Longzhouchi
1950, Mr. Chen Jiageng built dikes on the beach to reclaim the outer pool, middle pool and inner pool. The outer pool is commonly known as Dragon Boat Pool. There are seven pavilions with different styles in Chi Pan: Qi Ming, Nanhui, Chang Gung, Left, Right, Wind and Yuan. Longzhouchi is not too big. If you have time, you can walk around it. Looking at the Jiageng complex in Jimei School Village on the other side along Longchuan Road is definitely a shining three-dimensional picture. At night, on the other side of Nandi Park on the south bank, you can also see the brightly lit Xiamen Bridge.
Jiageng buildings
Jimei Xue Cun is the floorboard of all kinds of schools and cultural institutions in Jimei. Founded in 19 13 by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader Mr. Chen Jiageng, it enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad. You can see the Jiageng buildings of various schools here. One of the most representative buildings, Nanxun Building and Upper Middle Building of Finance and Economics College ... Are the beautiful scenery worth seeing?
Nanxun Mansion consists of the main building and two wings, which is Y-shaped with 15 floors and 54 meters high. Completed in June 1957. The word "Nanxun" is taken from "Nanfeng Xunxi" in The Book of Songs, which can relieve our people's anxiety and imply Mr. Chen Jiageng's great ideal of "rejuvenating the country through science and education". From the appearance, the whole building of Nanxun Building is Western-style, with a Chinese pavilion on the roof and the word "Jimei" on the top of the tower.
Aoyuan scenic spot
Aoyuan Scenic Area is located in the southeast corner of Jimei, facing the sea on three sides and the land on the west. It consists of the Olympic Garden, Chen Jiageng Park, Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall, Chen Jiageng Cultural Square, Mr. Chen Jiageng's former residence, Home Returning Hall and Home Returning Garden. Among them, Jimei Olympic Park, Tan Kah Kee Park, Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall and Tan Kah Kee Cultural Square are in one place; Mr Chen Jiageng's former residence, Guitang and Guiyuan are in another place.
Jiageng Park
Jiageng Park, Aoyuan and Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall belong to the same scenic spot. The south gate of Jiageng Park can only be entered, and the exit is in Memorial Square. Pavilions and pavilions in the garden are the embodiment of the combination of Chinese and western. On the east side of the park stands the "Honor Monument for Respecting Teachers and Paying Attention to Education" (burning candle), which symbolizes Mr. Chen Jiageng's selfless dedication to education, cultivating talents, burning himself and illuminating others.
Chen Jiageng Memorial Museum
Adjacent to the north gate of Jiageng Park, with a total area of 104484 square meters. The main building of the memorial hall consists of three floors. The first floor includes administrative office area, cultural relics warehouse area, reference room, lecture hall and temporary exhibition hall 1000 square meters. The second and third floors consist of a 360m2 preface hall and four 780m2 exhibition halls. In the entrance hall of the exhibition hall, you will see the white marble statue of Mr. Chen Jiageng. The background picture of "blue sky and sea" behind the statue is the largest single handmade wool carpet in the world at present.
The whole museum is divided into four exhibition halls to introduce more than 350 frames of pictures, more than 3 10 pieces of cultural relics and physical collections, which truly and vividly shows the great and glorious life of Mr. Chen Jiageng and the far-reaching influence of Jia Geng's spirit. You can take your time to visit. There is also a TV screening in the memorial hall, which introduces Mr. Chen Jiageng's great life in detail, and there are many precious shots.
Guilaiyuan
Guilaiyuan 1983 was built to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Jimei School by Mr. Chen Jiageng, covering an area of 9,300 square meters. A bronze statue of Mr. Chen Jiageng stands in the center of the Returning Garden, with a screen made of white granite behind it, engraved with the eight characters of "flag of overseas Chinese, national glory", which highly praised Mr. Chen Jiageng's life.
Guilaitang
Chen Jiageng planned to build the Home Returning Hall before his death, so that overseas relatives could stay and worship their ancestors after returning home. However, he has been worried about the country and the people all his life, and the construction plan of returning to the temple has not been implemented for a long time. 1962, under the care of the central leadership, the Huanshen Hall was built, realizing Mr. Wang's last wish.
Guilaitang is located in front of Chen Jiageng's former residence, south of Jiageng Road. It is a palace-style building in southern Fujian with a total area of 1, 330 square meters. Worship pavilion, reception room, wing and courtyard, the main body is a palace-style hall with eaves and ridges, which is solemn and elegant. There is a stone statue of Chen Jiageng in the center of the hall. The osmanthus trees in the yard are fragrant and green.
