Main activity arrangement

(1) Scientific research institutions and environmental protection facilities are open to the public. Ecological environment laboratory, monitoring station, observation station, scientific and technological device, environmental protection treatment facilities, etc. All levels are actively open to the public, holding various mass scientific and technological activities such as expert lectures, scientific experiment demonstrations, scientific research achievements display, promotion and transformation, guiding the public to experience the construction of ecological civilization and scientific and technological achievements in the ecological environment, and stimulating the enthusiasm for innovation and creation.

(2) "I am an eco-environmental commentator" auditions. With the theme of "building a harmonious and symbiotic modernization between man and nature", we will organize and mobilize all sectors of society to carry out the "I am an ecological environment commentator" sea election in 2023 by combining online and offline, tap outstanding popular science lecturers and cultivate reserve seed talents.

The National Eco-environmental Science Base organizes activities around topics of social concern such as biodiversity and double carbon. By experiencing and observing the natural ecology and environmental science and technology, they establish an emotional bond between the public and nature, improve the public's awareness of ecological environmental protection, and encourage people to take active actions to protect the ecological environment and build a harmonious home.

All localities and units should highlight the spirit and requirements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China's strategic plan of "accelerating the self-reliance of high-level science and technology", the Opinions on Further Strengthening the Popularization of Science and Technology in the New Period, and the Implementation Plan of the Tenth Five-Year Plan for Science Popularization in Ecological Environment, strengthen organizational leadership, carefully plan and carry out the activities of the Science and Technology Week and the Sixth Five-Year Environment Day in their own regions and units, make overall arrangements, cooperate with each other, and strengthen publicity.

All localities and units should give full play to their respective resource advantages, closely follow the theme of activities, vigorously carry forward the spirit of scientists, and mobilize the vast number of eco-environmental science and technology workers to actively participate.
