Wuhan University of Engineering Science is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education.

The predecessor of the school is Jiangcheng College of China Geo University, which was founded in February 2004. In May 20 14, the Ministry of Education approved the transformation of the school and renamed it Wuhan Institute of Engineering and Technology.
