How much do you know about the origin of social education?
Since ancient times, there have been different opinions about the origin of education. There are three main viewpoints, namely, biological origin, psychological origin and labor origin.

One. According to the theory of biological origin, human education is all instinctive activities carried out by various animals in the origin animal kingdom for their own survival, and its main representatives are Torno, Spencer and Percy Energy. In his book The Educational Evolution of Human Race, the French sociologist Rie Torno believes that education is a social phenomenon outside the scope of human society, which has been produced long before the appearance of human beings. For example, the love and care of the elderly for the young is an educational act. Survival competition and natural instinct are the basis of education. Animals impart "knowledge" and "technology" to young animals according to their natural instinct for survival and reproduction. This behavior is the early form and beginning of education. Since then, human education has only inherited the existing educational forms in the animal kingdom and gained new attributes.

2. Psychologists generally believe that education originated from children's unconscious imitation of adult behavior, and its main representative is American educator Lu Meng. From a psychological point of view, according to the primitive society, there are no schools, no teachers and no textbooks, and education is an unconscious imitation of adults by minors. In the textbook History of Education, he said that education in primitive society was "a simple and unconscious imitation" and that "primitive society had only the simplest form of education. But in the early days, the education curriculum had all the basic characteristics of the highest development stage of education. " In other words, admitting children's unconscious imitation of adults is the first education.

Three. The origin of labor theorists believe that education originated from labor and is the dialectical unity of social production needs and human development needs in the process of labor. In the book "History of World Education", Midinsky pointed out that only from Engels' famous principle that "labor creates man himself" can we truly understand the origin of education. Education originates from the unique productive labor of human beings, and ultimately comes down to the necessary labor needed for human survival.

The above is the general view of scholars from all walks of life on the origin of education, and it is also the most accepted view, but it is difficult to strictly define where education originated!
