Baoshan College, formerly known as Baoshan Normal College founded by 1978, was upgraded to Baoshan College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in April 2009. College is located in Jacky Road, Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. Baoshan is the first city in Yunnan's history to mourn for the prison. Yongchang County was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 69), which was the second largest county in China at that time. It is an important commercial city on the ancient Silk Road in the south of China, and also the "bridgehead" of China to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Baoshan has a prosperous culture, outstanding people, pleasant climate, beautiful environment and rich natural and human resources.

Baoshan is located in the center of Dehong, Lijiang, Dali, Lincang, Nujiang and Diqing in western Yunnan. Over the past 30 years, Baoshan College has trained more than 20,000 social construction talents and more than 30,000 in-service teachers and primary and secondary school management cadres for western Yunnan and other regions, which has made important contributions to the local socio-economic and educational development and won a high social reputation and sense of identity.

He has published more than 2,000 scientific research papers in academic journals at home and abroad, published more than 70 monographs and teaching materials, and won more than 40 teaching and research awards at or above the provincial level, such as Yunnan Science and Technology Progress Award. Journal of Baoshan College is published at home and abroad. The college actively carries out academic exchanges with foreign countries and has long-term cooperation with schools in Myanmar, Thailand and South Korea.
