School-running began with 19 18, the normal department of Jimei School founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, and the fishery department and business department of Jimei School founded by 1920. 1994 Jimei Normal University, Jimei Navigation College, Jimei Finance and Economics College, Xiamen Fisheries College and Fujian Institute of Physical Education merged to form Jimei University.
Subject Construction As of May, 20021year, botany and zoology in our school entered the ESI world 1%. There are 8 first-class key disciplines in Fujian Province (including 2 key disciplines with characteristics), and Post-Doctoral Research Center 1 discipline. There are 2 peak disciplines and 4 plateau disciplines in Fujian Province.
By the end of 20021and1,the school had 4 authorized points for doctoral degrees in first-class disciplines, 15 authorized points for master degrees in first-class disciplines and 18 authorized points for master degrees, covering agriculture, engineering, literature, science, economics and management.
