What is the concept of psychological education group?
Psychological education groups, or structural groups with a certain central theme, seem to be constantly welcomed by people. When my colleagues and I were carrying out group activities, most of the group instructors we met were very good at designing short-term group activities for specific topics or groups. These psychologists carefully analyze the needs of the crowd and design corresponding group activities. The group activities it carries out have many functions: transmitting information, sharing common experience, guiding to solve problems, providing help, and helping visitors learn to construct their own support system outside the group situation. This kind of structural activity around a specific theme can not only convey information, but also promote self-development. Therefore, such group activities can be called both educational groups and therapeutic groups.
