The responsibilities of the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau stipulated in the Notice of the State Council on the Establishment of Institutions are as follows: 1. To formulate principles, policies and plans for educational reform and development, draft relevant laws and regulations and supervise their implementation. 2, responsible for the overall planning and coordinated management of all kinds of education at all levels, in conjunction with the relevant departments to formulate standards for the establishment of all kinds of schools at all levels, to guide the education and teaching reform of all kinds of schools at all levels, and to be responsible for the statistics, analysis and release of basic education information. 3, responsible for promoting the balanced development of compulsory education and promoting education equity, responsible for the macro guidance and coordination of compulsory education, guiding ordinary high school education, preschool education and special education. Formulate basic requirements and teaching documents for basic education, organize the examination and approval of national curriculum materials for basic education, and fully implement quality education. 4, to guide the national education supervision work, responsible for organizing and guiding the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of secondary and below secondary education and eliminating illiteracy among young people, and to guide the monitoring of the development level and quality of basic education.
