Institutional responsibilities of the Education Bureau:

First, study and formulate educational principles and policies; Draw up a draft education law.

Two, study and put forward the education reform and development strategy and national education development plan; To formulate policies for educational system reform, as well as the focus, structure and speed of educational development, and guide and coordinate their implementation.

Three, the overall management of the Department of education funds; Participate in the formulation of principles and policies for raising education funds, education appropriations and education infrastructure investment; Supervise the collection and use of national education funds; To manage foreign educational aid and loans to China in accordance with relevant regulations.

The Education Bureau introduced:

The Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) is the the State Council department in charge of education and language work in the State Council, People's Republic of China (PRC). As of July 20 17, the Ministry of Education has 19 internal departments, among which "Secretariat of China National Committee for UNESCO" is one of them. In addition, the Ministry of Education directly manages 15 educational social groups and organizations.

Departments and agencies of the Education Bureau:

I. Executive Office

Responsible for the daily operation of messages, meetings, confidential, archives, finance, assets and other organs, as well as government affairs disclosure, news release, letters and visits, security and confidentiality.

Second, the department of policies and regulations

To study the educational reform and development strategy and conduct policy research on major issues; Drafting comprehensive education laws and regulations; To undertake the related work of legal system construction and administration according to law in the national education system; To undertake the legality review of relevant normative documents of this organ, and undertake relevant administrative reconsideration and administrative litigation.

Three. Development planning department

To formulate the national education development plan; To undertake the related work of the management system reform in colleges and universities; Formulate enrollment plans for higher education and standards for setting up institutions of higher learning in conjunction with relevant parties; Participate in the formulation of school construction standards at all levels; Review the establishment, cancellation, renaming and adjustment of institutions of higher learning in conjunction with relevant parties.

To undertake the statistics and analysis of basic education information; To undertake the infrastructure management of directly affiliated institutions of higher learning and directly affiliated units; To undertake the overall planning, comprehensive coordination and macro-management of private education; Undertake the reform and management of safety supervision and logistics socialization in colleges and universities.
