One day. Confucius led students such as Luz, Zigong and Yan Yuan to give lectures. When teachers and students came to Haizhou, the sky suddenly thundered and thundered, and there was a storm. An old local fisherman took them to a cave for shelter from the rain.
This cave faces the sea, where old fishermen usually rest. Confucius felt a little bored in the cave, so he went to the mouth of the cave and watched the sea view in the rain. When he looked at it, he felt that the poem was full of enthusiasm and became a couplet: the wind blew a thousand waves in the sea; The rain left thousands of pits on the beach.
The old fisherman listened to the busy way: "sir, what you said is wrong!" Is there only a thousand waves in the whole brain, and there are no more or less bunkers, just 10 thousand points? Have you counted it, sir? "
Confucius felt that there was something in the old fisherman's life, so he asked, "Since it is inappropriate, what is appropriate?"
The old fisherman said unhurriedly, "We were born by the water and grew up at sea. We often sing some fishing songs. Whether it's a song or a poem, although it doesn't have to be real fish or shrimp, it can be reasonable and vivid. In my opinion, your two sentences should be changed to this:' the wind blows on the sea and the rain pits on the beach.' There are countless waves and pits that make sense. "
Lutz caught fire on the side and said to the old fisherman, "Alas, saints write poems, how can you change them indiscriminately!" " "
Confucius shouted, "Lutz! Be rude! "
The old fisherman patted Luz on the shoulder and said, "A saint has the knowledge of a saint, but it is not necessarily better than others in everything. For example, how did you catch this fish? " In a word, Lutz was speechless.
The old fisherman looked at Lutz's embarrassment and made no answer. He flew down the mountain, jumped on the fishing boat, cast his net and began to fish.
Confucius watched the old fisherman's skillful fishing movements and thought about his ways of talking about the sea, changing poems, talking about "saints" and blaming his son. Suddenly, he found that he had made a big mistake, so he called his disciples together and said seriously, "I told you before, you were born to know." This sentence is wrong! Everyone should remember: knowing is knowing, not knowing is not knowing, knowing is also! "
Say, easy to sing a poem:
Climbing the mountain to see the sea, the plug suddenly opened;
If the sage is wrong, stop wandering!
Story 2: Confucius is questioned.
There is a sentence in the San Zi Jing: "Once upon a time, Zhongni studied under Xiang Tuo." Everyone knows that Zhong Ni is Confucius. Who is this "Xiang Tuo"? According to the author's introduction, Xiang Tuo is a teenager in Yan State. One day, Xiang Tuo met Confucius and said, "I heard that Confucius is very knowledgeable, so I came to ask for advice." Confucius smiled and said, "Please say-"
Xiang Tuo bowed to Confucius and said, "What water has no fish? What fire has no smoke? What tree has no leaves? What flower has no branches? " Confucius said, "That's a strange question you asked. There are fish in all rivers, lakes and oceans. No matter what firewood, lamp, candle, any fire has smoke; As for plants, trees cannot be formed without leaves; It is difficult to blossom without branches. " Xiang Tuo giggled and shook his head and said, "No, there are no fish in well water, no smoke in fireflies, no leaves in dead trees and no branches in snowflakes."
From the above "Confucius conjecture", we should have two inspirations: first, knowledge is infinite; The second is to be good at observation, analysis and accumulation. If you just sit with existing knowledge and don't learn, you will be eliminated by society. Why else would Confucius be defeated by a teenager?
Story 3: Different answers to the same question
Lutz once asked Confucius, "I heard that an idea is very good. Should it be implemented immediately? " Confucius said, "There are brothers and sisters who are more experienced than you. You should consult them first. Where can I do it right away? "
However, You Ran also asked Confucius: "I heard that an idea is very good. Should it be implemented immediately?" Confucius replied, "Of course, it should be implemented immediately."
Gong Xihua saw the same question and gave different answers. He couldn't figure it out, so he asked Confucius. Confucius said, "Ran Qiu should be encouraged to be brave when he is afraid of something;" Zhong You is reckless and should be careful. "
Story 4: Confucius respects teachers.
In the spring of 52 1 BC, Confucius learned that his students had been ordered by the king of Lu to pay homage to the emperor in Luoyang, Kyoto, Zhou Dynasty. He thought it was a good opportunity to ask Laozi, the guardian of Tibetan history in the Zhou Dynasty, about "etiquette", so he agreed with Lu and went with the palace.
The day after Confucius arrived in Kyoto, he went to the Tibetan History Museum on foot to visit Laozi. Lao Zi, who is writing the Tao Te Ching, heard that the world-famous Kong Qiu came to consult, so he quickly put down his knife and pencil and adjusted his clothes. Confucius saw an old and healthy man coming out of the gate and thought it was Laozi. He hurried forward and respectfully paid tribute to one of Lao Zi's disciples. After entering the hall, Confucius bowed again before sitting down. Laozi asked Confucius why he came. Confucius left his seat and replied, "I have little knowledge and know nothing about the ancient' etiquette system', so I specially asked the teacher." Seeing that Confucius was so sincere, Lao Tzu expressed his views in detail.
After returning to Lu, Confucius' students asked him to explain Laozi's knowledge. Confucius said, "I am a good teacher, knowing the past and the present, the source of rites and music, and the return of virtue." At the same time, I praise Laozi as an example. He said: "bird, I know it can fly;" Fish, I know it can swim; Beast, I know it can run. I can weave a net to catch a running beast, I can tie a swimming fish to a hook to catch it, and I can shoot a flying bird with a good arrow. As for the dragon, I can't know how it took the wind and cloud to heaven. Laozi, it's still evil! "
