Zhao Wannian (1 168— 1209), whose real name is Fang Shu. Originally from Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, he moved to Fuxi Village, Xixiang, Changxi County, Fujian Province (now Xixi Village, Xitan Township, Fu 'an City). Anti-gold generals in Southern Song Dynasty.

Zhao Wannian was born in Fuxi in Song Dynasty (1 168). In the 13th year of Song Dynasty (1 186), he went to northern Fujian to learn from Zhu. In the second year of Qingyuan (1 196), he served as an official of Xiangyang manufacturing company.

In the winter of the second year of Jubilee (1206), the nomads from the army captured Ma Po, crossed the river south, and surrounded Xiangyang City with 200,000 troops. At that time, there were only more than 10 thousand defenders in Xiangyang city, and the officials of Zhao Xuanshi fled in succession. Zhao Wannian built weapons and stored grain, and urged the new Zhaofu to make Zhao Chun defend Xiangyang. He drafted the proclamation of "the first two armies to keep out the cold", stating that he intended to divide and disintegrate the enemy. He wrote the article Mianzhu cooperated with Zhao Zhaofu to defend the city, giving advice to the staff of various departments. From November of the second year of Jubilee (1206) to February of the following year, Xiangyang City was besieged for more than 90 days, with more than 20 wars and 34 land and water siege. With more than 10,000 guards and 200,000 troops against the Jin people, the city was completely sealed and the siege was solved. Zhao Wannian was named Doctor Wude for his meritorious service in defending Xiangyang City.

While guarding the city, Zhao Wannian wrote two books, Xiangyang Guarding the City and Bi 'e Collection. The bachelor of Duanming Temple and fellow man Weng prefaced the Privy Council. Zhao Wannian died in the second year of Jiading, Song Dynasty (1209), aged 42, and was buried in Baisha Village, Fu 'an.
