On 1923, Mr. Chen Heqin founded the earliest infant experimental base in China-Nanjing Gulou Kindergarten, and also founded Jiangxi Experimental Kindergarten, the first public preschool normal school in China, which made an indelible contribution to the cause of preschool education qualification training in China.

He devoted his whole life to exploring the popularization and scientificization of China, founded the theory of living education and opposed death education.
