Since 2005, the Ministry of Education has carried out "comprehensive counterpart support" and "discipline construction plan for aiding Xinjiang" to support education in the western region. The Central Conservatory of Music, the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Communication University of China all sent experts and professors to provide counterpart support to the college. At the same time, the college signed an agreement with the Central Conservatory of Music and the Central Academy of Fine Arts to jointly train master students, and five professors became external masters tutors of two famous art universities; Xi Academy of Fine Arts has set up a training base for "Master of Arts", and five professors have become external tutors for master students of Xi Academy of Fine Arts, which has provided great talent and material guarantee for promoting discipline construction and improving teaching quality. The college has trained more than 8,000 professional artistic talents for the country. In 2007, the scale of undergraduate students increased steadily, and the quality of students was further improved. In 2007, the employment rate of undergraduate graduates reached over 90%.
