I. Introduction:

1. Objective: Family education is the foundation of school education. School education and family education are inseparable, and the lack of that link will have a major adverse impact on children. In order to improve the effectiveness of family education, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the current situation of students' family education, including the basic situation of students' families, the situation of students' family learning environment, parents' expectations and concerns for their children, and the ways of family education. We want to study some problems about family education through investigation, and make conclusions and work ideas according to the investigation, so as to guide family education more pertinently and let our next generation grow up healthily.

2. Survey object: The survey object is the parents of students in primary education. A total of 360 questionnaires were distributed, and 338 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective rate of about 94%. Among the respondents, divorced, widowed and remarried families accounted for 1%. Among the family members surveyed, about 1% have regular jobs, about 25% are self-employed and workers, and the rest are farmers.

3. Survey method: questionnaire survey. Parents' questionnaires are mainly closed-ended questions and answers, and open-ended consultations are adopted on opinions and suggestions on school education.

Second, the survey results analysis:

(1) Family profile:

1, from the perspective of family income:

For various reasons, the income of some families is still not optimistic. Taking the 338 nuclear families surveyed as an example, 3% of them have an average monthly income of more than 1500 yuan. 1000 ~ 1500 yuan accounts for15% of the total; 65% of the total is between 500 ~ 1000 yuan; 300 ~ 500 yuan accounts for 7% of the total; Below 500 yuan accounts for 10% of the total. Generally speaking, the income of families engaged in self-employment and fixed jobs is stable and high, while the income of farming at home is low. Most parents attach great importance to their children's education so that their children can "fly to the branches" and "leap to the dragon gate" in the future. In the survey, 99% parents think that the guidance of the school on family education is very important, which provides a certain material basis for parents to carry out family education.

2. Education and occupation from parents:

The educational level of parents determines the thoughts and methods of family education to a certain extent, and the educational level of parents reflects the educational level to a certain extent. The survey shows that the educational background of parents of students is as follows: about 1% parents have college education or above; Technical secondary schools account for about 2%, and the vast majority of parents have junior high school education, accounting for about 97% of the total.

Parents' professional background is also a basic element of family environment. The results show that the proportion of parents who are workers, farmers or self-employed workers accounts for about 95% of the total number of students' parents; Followed by general staff, accounting for 2% of the total number of parents; There are few government officials and business managers. This ratio is roughly consistent with the education level of the above-mentioned parents, indicating that the education level of parents corresponds to the occupation. Because parents usually work in their own towns, they don't have to spend a lot of time commuting, and 97% of children mainly live with their parents, so parents have the ability and time to carry out family education.

(B) the concept of family education:

From the investigation of the present situation, we find that most parents have high academic expectations for their children at present, and it is still the main theme of today's family education to hope that their children will become mature as soon as possible. The survey results show that 40% people want their children to be intellectuals with learning expertise in the future, 20% people want to be civil servants, 15% people want to join the army or be a policeman, 0% people want to be workers or contemporary farmers, 8% people want to let nature take its course, and 17% people want to be others.

Take family intellectual investment as an example. Although most families are not very rich, they are not soft on intellectual investment. The survey shows that about 8% families spend more than 100 yuan on children's consciousness and intelligence every month, among which 27% families spend 50- 100 yuan every month, and 20% families spend 20-20 years on 50 yuan. These figures show that parents are devoted to their children's family education. The main content of family intellectual investment is to use weekends to help children with various interest classes (including Chinese, mathematics, English, painting, musical instruments), as well as the purchase of books and tapes, as well as home computers and so on.

In terms of parents' academic expectations of their children, the vast majority of parents said that managing their children's studies is the first duty of family education, followed by other education. These parents believe that only when children study hard and go to college in the future can they gain certain social status and benefits.

In the content of family education, 85% of parents only pay attention to intellectual education, and they spend a lot of time and energy on their children's study, while only 5% of parents think that they should pay attention to the cultivation of their children's good character, 2% think that they should pay attention to their children's legal education, and only 7% can pay attention to playing with their children at ordinary times. Some parents spoil their children and treat them as little emperors and princesses. Children's self-help work at home is 44% passive, and housework is 62% passive.

According to the survey, among the types of family education, 90% parents think that the good way to educate their children is "praise, encouragement and patient reasoning". In these families, although parents know how to educate their children, 20% parents think that the effective way to educate their children when they make mistakes is to "beat them up, leave them alone, punish them, put them in jail and increase their homework". This shows that some parents' theoretical level of educating their children is not proportional to the actual operation.

In addition, although 99% of parents attach importance to family education for their children, they show that even if they have a long spare time every day, they rarely spend it on their children, or even if they are together, they don't give much guidance. Parents usually spend most of their spare time doing housework, watching TV, participating in entertainment and other activities, accounting for 80%, which is more serious.

(C) the mother is the main role of family education:

We already know that most parents attach great importance to their children's education. However, the survey shows that it is the mother who often disciplines the children in the family, accounting for about 85% of the total number of families, followed by the father, accounting for about 13%, and the other 2%. This may be directly related to the characteristics of parents' work and life and the age of their children. Because of life, children have a close relationship with their mothers at home, and their mothers are also the main participants in activities required by parents' conferences or schools. As a child's mother, educational methods and thoughts have influenced the quality of children to a greater extent and determined the quality of family education. However, it should be clear that in family education in modern society, the role of father is irreplaceable by anyone, and father has great influence on children's gender role, personality formation, wisdom cultivation and ability formation.

(d) The content of family leisure life needs to be rich:

In the busy pace of life, enriching and activating the family's amateur cultural life is an inevitable requirement to improve the quality of modern family life and an effective way to spread the concept of civilization. In the survey, 90% families spend their spare time by watching TV and doing housework, and only 10% families choose to participate in cultural and recreational activities. The survey results also reflect the parents' investment in their children's extracurricular learning, and there are two or more kinds of extracurricular learning for a child. This shows that parents attach great importance to cultivating their children's specialties, but interestingly, most children learn passively.

(e) There is a need to further increase communication between parents and schools:

Besides living with parents for the longest time, children spend the most time in contact with teachers. Therefore, teachers are also people who know children better. However, the survey shows that 82% of parents know their children's school situation through parent-teacher conferences, 10% through the contact between teachers and parents, only 5% of parents often contact teachers to exchange their children's education problems, and 3% of parents know their children's school situation through teachers' home visits.

The analysis of the above results shows that: at present, the work of home-school contact is mainly undertaken by schools and teachers; Parents' awareness of active participation is weak, but they are in a passive state; Moreover, due to various reasons, the cooperation between family education and school education is not enough and the effect is not ideal.

(6) Parents' suggestions:

1, schools and parents should strengthen contact; 2. Willing to attend family education lectures or trainings frequently; I hope my family can live in democracy, equality and harmony. It can be seen that parents are still willing to accept family education guidance and actively cooperate with students' family education. Strengthening the contact between home and school, raising awareness, enhancing parents' awareness of active participation and winning parents' cooperation play an important role in combining school education with family education and improving the quality of education.

Three. Conclusions and recommendations:

Through the statistical analysis of this questionnaire survey, we can make the following judgments on the current situation of students' family education:

1, the economic foundation provides a guarantee for the implementation of good family education, but the overall quality of parents is not high, so it is difficult to provide students with truly high-quality family education.

2. Influenced by traditional ideas, the family is not strong enough to create a good learning environment for students, and it is difficult for students to carry out high-quality independent learning and education at home.

3. The contradiction between high academic expectations, poor local social education environment and low quality of parents makes students bear too much learning pressure, but their interests, specialties and intelligence have not been fully developed.

4. Democratic family education has gradually become the mainstream, but there are still a lot of doting, authoritative and laissez-faire family education methods. Under the influence of extreme education methods, students are easily distorted in moral values and personality psychology.

Therefore, school education and family education should complement each other and become a whole:

1, school education should enrich students' social knowledge and fully combine it with reality through visits, "example" reports and practical operations.

2. Establish personal education files of typical underachievers and implement comprehensive and effective monitoring.

3. In view of the problems existing in family education, we should focus on guiding family education methods through "parent school", "parent meeting" and "parent committee" to promote parents to change their educational concepts; The school holds some parent-child activities, such as sports festivals and art festivals where parents and children perform on the same stage.

4. Improve the cooperation mechanism between home and school and improve the quality of family education. Schools should strengthen cooperation with communities and families, give full play to the advantages of school education, carry out various forms of home-school work, guide and help families to change their family education concepts, improve the family education environment, and master scientific family education methods. The forms we intend to take are: family education consultation, guiding education consumption, conducting civilized family selection, creating learning families, family education investigation, etc.

Parents should be the children's first psychological counseling teacher. They should pay close attention to any subtle changes in children's psychology. Starting from the reality of children, teach students in accordance with their aptitude and guide them according to the situation. Education is really beneficial to children's growth, otherwise it will only get twice the result with half the effort.

Family education is an important part of the whole national education and the foundation of school education and social education. It is an important link to improve the quality of the people. Compared with school education, family education pays more attention to good quality. The cultivation of behavior habits and healthy psychology has an important influence on children's life. Family is the first living environment for everyone to come to this world. Parents and children live together, with the most contact and the most convenient communication. Children always follow the adult lifestyle. Subtle and unforgettable. Parents are children's role models and teachers, and this kind of education is lifelong. With the formation of the concept of big education, family education has increasingly shown its important position. For the healthy growth of children, it is urgent to carry out family education investigation and family education research.

3, from the family's economic income and expenditure:

For various reasons, the income of some families is still not optimistic. Taking the surveyed 169 students as an example, the average monthly income of each family is more than 3,000 yuan, accounting for13.5% of the total; 30.5% of the total is between 1000 ~ 3000 yuan; 37. 1% of the total is between 500 ~ 1000 yuan; 65438+ 05.3% of the total population is between 300 and 500 yuan; 200 ~ 300 yuan accounts for1.8% of the total; Below 200 yuan accounts for 1.8% of the total. In this way, economically, most families still attach great importance to raising their children and try their best to meet their financial needs.

From the investigation of the present situation, we find that most parents have high expectations for their children's studies, and it is still the main theme of today's family education to hope that their children will become mature as soon as possible. The survey results show that 37.3% of intellectuals want their children to become experts in learning in the future, 1 1.8% are "civil servants", 42% are "letting nature take its course" and 18.9% are others. Children's performance: 88.2% parents are satisfied with their studies, 93.5% parents are satisfied with their morality, and 2 1.9% parents are dissatisfied with their children's health. This may be because people don't pay enough attention to health now, and 95.9% parents are satisfied with mental health. It can be seen that every parent treats his children the same, and actively gives full affirmation and encouragement, thus achieving a good educational promotion.

(C) the main role of family education:

We already know that most parents attach great importance to their children's education. However, the survey shows that parents often discipline their children, accounting for 84.6% and 79.3% of their total families respectively, followed by other family members and relatives. This may be directly related to the characteristics of parents' work and life and the age of their children. Because of life, children have a close relationship with their parents at home. Parents are the main participants in the activities required by parents' conferences or schools. As a child's mother, educational methods and thoughts have influenced the quality of children to a greater extent and determined the quality of family education. In family education in modern society, the role of father is irreplaceable by anyone. Father has a great influence on children's gender role, the formation of personality, the cultivation of wisdom and the formation of ability.

(4) Family education behavior:

The way parents educate their children: 44.4% families communicate with their children exclusively, and another 43.8% families educate their children through eating, and there are other effective methods for their children. The survey results show that most parents lack communication with their children and correct ideological education. To educate children well, we must first understand children, and the communication between parents and children's hearts is the basis for implementing good family education. Quite a few parents can't cooperate with teachers to educate their children. Many parents believe that their task is to provide food and clothing for their children, and learning and education are the business of schools and teachers. More than half of parents rarely check their children's homework, let alone help them with their homework and ask them about their school. There are many parents with low quality, and the family lacks an educational atmosphere. Parents generally have low academic qualifications, less education and poor cultural background, so they can't effectively educate and guide their children. Although most parents attach importance to their children's family education, they show that even if they have a long spare time every day, they rarely spend it on their children, or even if they are together, they don't pay enough attention to their own situation. Therefore, it is most important to carry out education, harmony and more exchanges and discussions in a better way.

(5) the relationship between family and school:

The survey results show that 79.3% parents know their children's situation by talking about their children's life at school, while other parents know part of the situation mainly through parent-teacher meetings, telephone calls, home visits and classmates. In children's study life, apart from living with parents for the longest time, they spend the most time in contact with teachers. Therefore, teachers are also people who know children better. The analysis of the above results shows that the most important thing in family education is the cooperation between parents and children. First of all, we should do a good job in the relationship between parents and children, and then the relationship between teachers and children.

Both of them are closely related to children's educational growth. It can be seen that strengthening the contact between home and school, raising awareness, enhancing parents' awareness of active participation and winning parents' cooperation play an important role in combining school education with family education and improving the quality of education.

(six) the influence of family relations:

The survey of family relations shows that 80.5% families get along well, only 12.4% families care about each other, and the other 6.5% belong to a very small number of disharmonious families. For children, 92.3% of them are very concerned about their families and take the initiative to serve them, while a few do not care enough about their families. The reason is that the role transformation between parents and children is not good enough. We should get along well unconsciously, so that children can learn the basic principles of being a man and doing things while feeling the warmth of their families, so as to have a good attitude and mentality towards life and study, and let children have a better growth environment and a healthy and happy study life.

(7) Children's views:

The survey results show that 62.7% children think that the most effective way for parents to educate is to be patient and reasonable, 30.8% children think that parents give praise and encouragement is the most effective, and 6.5% children think that criticism and punishment are the most effective. As for the content of parental education, 63.3% people want to be guided by specific problems in family education, and also want to be guided and educated in other ways. In this way, most children still don't want too strict education methods. For children's healthy psychological growth, we must adopt positive encouragement and praise methods, give full support and guidance according to children's different characteristics, and form a warm psychological environment for children, so as to achieve the purpose of effective family education and promote children's active learning ability.
