School bullying is an aggressive behavior that takes place inside and outside the campus, with students as the main participants. It includes both direct bullying and indirect bullying. School bullying is not the same as campus violence, which includes school bullying, and school bullying is the most common one.
At present, the school bullying phenomenon in China and even in the world is very serious, and governments and international organizations have also issued relevant laws, regulations, policies and documents to deal with school bullying. The concept of "comprehensive education" put forward by UNESCO also covers the related contents of understanding and coping with school bullying.
School bullying's concept
In 2020, China's revised Law on the Protection of Minors holds that student bullying refers to the behavior that occurs among students, and one party intentionally or maliciously bullies and insults through physical means, language and the Internet, causing personal injury, property loss or mental damage to the other party.
According to UNESCO, school bullying is an aggressive behavior against the will of others among school-age children. This kind of behavior is often accompanied by actual or perceived power imbalance, which will happen repeatedly or may happen repeatedly in a period of time.
