Wild children's band
The Wild Kids Band was formed in February, 1995 in Hangzhou, with two members, Zhang Bi and Xiao Suo. In May of the same year, they returned to Lanzhou, their birthplace, and spent nearly a year investigating northwest folk music, including hiking from Yan 'an to Inner Mongolia along the Yellow River, and conducted a series of creative activities.
1March, 996, Zhang Heng and Xiao Suo came to Beijing to rehearse with some musicians.
1997 1 month 1 together with Zhang Jian (organ), Yue Haokun (bass) and Yu Weimin (drummer), performed the first performance of Wild Child in Beijing at Daxi Club; In March of the same year, drummer Zhou from Sichuan joined the band and used tambourine for the first time. On August 23rd, a special performance of Wild Children Band was held in Lanzhou. In June of the same year, Drummer Week left the team. Zhang Bi and Xiao Suo continue to rehearse in Beijing and do some informal performances, during which Ye Hongming is a drummer.
1June, 998, drummer Gao Hui joined the band.
1999 At the beginning of this year, Yezi recorded the first demo "The Mantra" and released it in Beijing on February 6th. 165438+ 10, the Wild Kids Band participated in the "Beijing in London" Art Festival organized by the British Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA); In the same year, drummer Gao Hui left the band.
In June, 2000, I cooperated with Drummer Week again and participated in the "French Music Festival" held in Beijing French School. Li (bass) and (sand stick) participated in the performance; In July of the same year, Theway (accordion), (tambourine) and Li (bass) formally joined the Wild Kids Band; On August 24th, the band gave a special performance in the "Tibetan Cool" bar in Beijing, and recorded its first live performance CD "In the Attic".
200 1, wild children perform regularly in the "river" bar in Beijing every week. In May 18 of the same year, I participated in the activity of "New Youth and New Music" held in Peking University.
In May, 2002, Wild Kids band participated in Beijing Midi Music Festival; In June of the same year, the first CD "Curse" was released underground; In August, I attended the Lijiang Snow Mountain Music Festival held in Lijiang, Yunnan. 165438+ 10 gave a special performance in Shanghai "Ark" Bar, and recorded the second live performance CD "Ark Live in Shanghai".
