Chen Lai, born in Beijing in 1952, graduated from Peking University in 198 1, and graduated from the philosophy department of Peking University in 1985 with a doctor of philosophy. 1990 Professor of Philosophy Department of Peking University, Director of Peking University Confucianism Research Center, Doctoral Supervisor, Member of Social Science Committee of Ministry of Education, Vice President of National Society of Chinese Philosophy History, Executive Vice President of International China Philosophy Society, and former visiting professor of Harvard University and other schools.
