1, the predecessor of the school
Quanzhou Teachers College, formerly known as Quanzhou University Teachers College, was founded in 1958. After several changes, it experienced the development process of renaming, closing and reopening. In 2000, Quanzhou Normal University was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is the first newly-built local provincial undergraduate university in Fujian Province.
