Code is the abbreviation of "Organization Code". The organization code is the only unchangeable code identification issued nationwide by organs, enterprises, institutions, social organizations and private non-enterprise units registered in People's Republic of China (PRC) according to law.
The organization code is compiled according to the mandatory national standard GB 1 17 14 "National Organization Code Compilation Rules", which consists of an eight-bit (or capitalized Latin alphabet) ontology code and a one-bit (or capitalized Latin alphabet) check code. Organization code certificate Organization code certificate includes original, duplicate and electronic copy (ic card). While distributing codes and issuing certificates to organizations, the code registration department also collects 28 basic information, codes these information according to national standards, and stores them in the code database and electronic copy of code certificates (ic cards) for the use of code application departments. The basic information collected by the code registration department includes: organization name, organization address, organization type, economic nature, industry classification, scale, legal representative, etc.
The significance of establishing a unified code recognition system;
Implementing the system of organization code and social security number for corporate units is the basic system of the whole economy and society of the country. It is of great significance and urgency to establish this system as soon as possible for establishing the socialist market economic system and promoting social progress. The national organization code management center (a subordinate unit of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) is responsible for this work. In order to standardize and strengthen the management of organization code and give full play to the role of organization code in promoting economic and social development, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the Measures for the Management of Organization Code.
