History of Hebei Buddhist College
Hebei Buddhist College 1998 pilot project was formally established with the approval of the State Bureau of Religious Affairs in May 2000. It is a provincial Buddhist college sponsored by Hebei Buddhist Association. According to the tradition of spreading Buddhism in the Han Dynasty and decades of experience in learning Zen, the dean of the hospital, Jing Hui, put forward the four-character policy of "faith, precept, learning and action" and the eight-character outline of "cultivating monk personality and integrating into the monk group" as the guiding ideology for running a school.

College is located in Zhaozhou Zuting Berlin Zen Temple; Under the guidance of Jinghui's idea of "living Zen", the Buddhist group of Berlin Zen Temple keeps pace with the times, actively carries out various activities of practicing and giving lectures, and has established a good interactive relationship with Buddhist circles and academic circles at home and abroad for 20 years, providing a profound teacher base and a good school environment for Buddhist college education. In order to meet the needs of aspiring young monks, the Buddhist College began to recruit monks from the fourth seminar, the seventh junior college class and the sixth technical secondary school class on May 10.

Hebei Buddhist College is the only intermediate Buddhist college in Hebei Province at present. It was formed on the basis of the "Sangha Training Class" held by the original Berlin Zen Temple. /kloc-0 was recruited and tried out in September, 1998, and was formally established in May, 2000. In the process of preparation, it has received strong support from relevant leaders such as the provincial party Committee and the provincial government.

In order to ensure the healthy and normal development of the Buddhist College in Hebei Province, the old monk Jinghui specially formulated the training plan of the Buddhist College: "Teaching with faith and warning, learning with listening, thinking, reading and writing, teaching by example, and learning from monks with respect for teachers."

In May 2000, Hebei Buddhist College was established. Mr. Yang Tongxiang, Director of the State Bureau of Religious Affairs, Mr. Wu Zhenhua, Vice President of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Mr. Ju Zhiqiang, Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Hebei Province, and Jing Hui, an old monk, jointly unveiled the Hebei Buddhist College.
