On the ninth day of the first month, eight returns refer to:

"Eight don't return" means filial piety, filial piety, loyalty, faith, courtesy, righteousness, sincerity and shame. Don't go home if you can't do these eight things well! One of them is to discredit the hometown people, so that they will be spurned and scolded by their relatives when they go home!

The ninth day of the first month is one of the traditional festivals in China. Folk also known as "heaven", usually called "Jade Emperor's Meeting". "God" is "Jade Emperor". It is said that the gods in the sky will hold a grand celebration ceremony on the ninth day of the first month. Seven doesn't mean:

The so-called "seven can't go out", in the old society, the older generation will educate the younger generation, and they are not allowed to go out on the seventh, seventeenth and twenty-seventh day of the first month! Later, many folklore scholars said that this was a rumor. The correct "seven things" means that you can't go out without sorting out these seven things.

In ancient times, due to inconvenient transportation, I went out for several days and months at a time, so I had to arrange my family affairs properly every time I went out, so I could rest assured! Then the people's worship ceremony was grand and formal, and the whole family had to bathe and change clothes before they could worship "God"! People also think that "Nine" is the most important and biggest, and "Heaven falls" must drink alcohol on this day.
