Moral education in a broad sense refers to all activities that have a purposeful and planned impact on social members politically, ideologically and morally, including social moral education, community moral education, school moral education and family moral education.

Moral education in a narrow sense refers to school moral education. School moral education refers to the education that educators exert systematic influence on the educated purposefully and systematically according to the requirements of a certain society or class and the formation law of the educated's ideology and morality, and transform the ideology and morality of a certain society into the ideological and moral quality of individual students.

School moral education consists of political education, ideological education, law and discipline education and moral quality education. Political education is the direction, ideological education is the foundation, moral quality education is the core, and legal education is the guarantee. Together, they created a complete and sound new person.
